1982 GREAT MOMENTS IN AVIATION HISTORY SIGNED PRINT, WITH ARMSTRONG
Extremely hard-to-find limited-edition color lithograph titled 'Great Moments in Aviation History,' numbered 461/1100, 25½"x24½", signed in pencil by 15 important figures in American flight: Neil Armstrong, George A. Vaughn, Jr., Leigh Wade, James H. Doolittle, Curtis E. LeMay, George Gay, Joe Foss, John W. Mitchell, Charles E. Yeager, Gail S. Halverson, Paul W. Tibbets, Frances S. Gabreski, Pete Knight, Michael J. Novosel and Robin Olds. Print also signed by the artist, William J. Reynolds. This is first official 'Gathering of Eagles' (then known as 'Great Moments in Aviation History') in 1982. This initial cadre designed a program encouraging the study of aviation history and the contributions of aviation pioneers. These 15 distinguished aviators were invited to share their unique personal experiences through a series of teaching interviews and social events with members of the class. This first edition (1982) of the Air Command and Staff College prints was the only edition signed by Armstrong. Rare and very fine, in frame for pick-up, or shipped without frame. 1971 KURT DEBUS' APOLLO 15 PERMANENT FIRING ROOM ACCESS BADGE
An Apollo 15 Permanent Firing Room Access badge which was owned by and worn on launch day by the Director of Kennedy Space Center Kurt Debus, and the badge bears his name on a small sticker on the back. Debus, a member of Wernher von Braun's German rocket team, was named the first Director of KSC in 1962 and was always assigned badge No.4 for the launches.
