Dylan, Bob: Signed set list from 2001
Bob Dylan (1941-) is one of the most influential musicians of all time, who has had a "profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power." His career has spanned more than five decades, but nonetheless quality memorabilia remains extremely rare due to his private nature. Dylan has autographed this set list for one of his live concert performances, "Best wishes! Bob Dylan, 2001". Each section of the show is divided into groups of songs, beginning with Shine the Light and ending with the enigmatic All Along the Watch Tower. Dylan's autograph is placed on a blank section of this list. The list is written in thick black marker, while Dylan's signature is inscribed in fine black pen. There is some handwritten blue text on the back of the page. Some light folds and creases to the page, otherwise in excellent condition. PFC Auctions
Helen Keller Inscribed Photograph
American author Helen Keller (1880-1968) was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her physical impairments never stopped her from great accomplishments. Indeed, she became a lecturer, political activist and social campaigner, travelling widely and writing prolifically.

This charming vintage photograph, mounted neatly on board, measures 8" x 5.25". Keller's inscription fills the bottom left portion of the image, "To Mr. Alexander, In remembrance, Helen Keller, May 1902". Her distinctive autograph is clear and crisp.

Keller is shown in profile: she was often photographed this way due to a protruding left eye. Later in adulthood, both eyes were replaced with glass replicas to alleviate some medical issues and for cosmetic reasons. PFC Auctions
Prince Charles & Princess Diana autographed xmas card, signed
Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married on July 29, 1981, in what was billed as the "Wedding of the Century". Sadly, their marriage was an unhappy one and the couple split in 1992, divorcing in 1996. Diana was tragically killed in a car crash in 1997. This stiff white greeting card measures 8" x 6" and is embossed with two gold crests, a simple and luxurious design fitting of its royal usage. This autographed card is addressed "To you both" and features a colour photograph of the Prince of Wales (1948-), dressed in a kilt and gazing downwards towards his young son, Prince William. William sits on Diana's (1961-1997) lap as she rests on a swing. The outdoor scene photographed at Balmoral Castle, is playful and shows the family in a relaxed manner. The card reads "With all good wishes for Christmas and the New Year" in strong black lettering. Underneath this printed greeting, Diana has signed "from Diana & ", Charles finishes simply with his autograph alongside. The flourish of their brown/black fountain pen finishes with underlined emphasis under their names. PFC Auctions
Ernest Shackleton Handwritten Personal Letter
Personal letter from Shackleton to his wife, signed "Micky".

Written on headed paper from the RMS Mauretania, at the time the largest moving structure ever built.

Ernest Shackleton, CVO, OBE FRGS (1874-1922) was an polar explorer who led three British expeditions to the Antarctic, and is renowned as a heroic explorer of his day. His memorabilia is among the most valuble from the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration, and is highly sought after.

This letter is a handwritten note from Shackleton to his wife Emily Shackleton (nee Dorman), dated March 26, 1921. The letter reads:

"Darling Sweeteyes, I was sorry the line was bad this morning and I was anxious about the lectures. I could not hear a word from Rowetts house and they told me afterwards that the exchange is the worst in the kingdom. I had a bad night continually on the run all due to the cider, but am all right now. If there is any news will let you know at once. I have a comfortable cabin but I am afraid that the Aquitania spoils one for any other ship. It was a wee peaceful time at home yesterday and I enjoyed it so. There is really no news darling. I hope to be back soon, indeed I must be if I am to get ready in time. I hope all goes well with you and the children. I enclose the passenger list. No one interesting. I want a rest. Your loving, Micky".

It is thought that the signature "Micky" is a reference to Shackelton's Irish origin, having been born in County Kildare.

Nine months after the date of this letter, upon arriving in Rio de Janeiro, Shackleton suffered a suspected heart attack but declined a proper medical examination. That night, Shackleton summoned the on-board doctor to his cabin, complaining of back pains. A few moments later, at 2:50am on January 5, 1922, he suffered a fatal heart attack.

A rare and fine historical item. PFC Auctions
