SAMI BIDJERANO SABIN 1920-2007 , Bulgarian In 1940 Sammy Bidjerano enrols in the National Academy of Art in Sofia. Sammy Bidjerano is one of the founders of the Creative Fund of the UBA. He became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1946. Bidjerano is one of the innovators of new media solutions and creative ideas in the design space in the country. He has diverse interests – from models to produce wrought iron objects, metal, ceramics, wood to graphic designs for newspapers and magazines, posters, stamps, decorative panels, monumental sculpture and decoration. Sammy Bidjerano made the projects for the first political and business exhibitions abroad. He modeled a number of museums, exhibitions and fairgrounds. Since 1966 Sabine lives mostly abroad – in Israel. Since then he works primarily in painting and monumental decoration. His works are owned by a number of galleries and private collections in Bulgaria, including the National Art Gallery, Art Gallery, both in Israel and around the world – Stockholm, Rome, Vienna, Paris, Brussels, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Nebraska, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires , Havana and more. ALBERT GLEIZES 1881-1953 Paris 1881-1953 Avignon (French) Title: Decoration for the Moscow Train Station, 1927-1929 Technique: Hand Signed and Dated Pochoir on BFK Rives paper Paper Size: 65 x 50 cm / 25.5 x 19 in Image Size: 40 x 28.6 cm / 15.7 x 11.2 in Additional Information: This pochoir is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Albert Gleizes" in the lower right margin. It is dated in pencil "20" (1920) beside the signature. This pochoir was printed in 18 colours and was executed in 1927 to 1929 by Robert Pouyaud in Moly-Sabata based on an original Gouache from 1920. In 1920 upon Gleizes return from New York, He started working on a new monumental project: a wall decoration (Murale) for the Moscow train station. Gleizes created several studies and one large oil painting for this project in 1920 but unfortunately it was never project was never completed. In 1927 Robert Pouyaud together with Gleizes decided to create a pochoir based on one of the studies. The pochoir was printed in a small edition and not all the impressions were hand signed by Gleizes. Literature: Varichon, Anne, 1998. Albert Gleizes, Catalogue Raisonné: Vol I, Somogy, Paris.
