Victorian Diamond Ring with Blue Sapphires: Appraised $2450 in Yellow Gold

A unique, classy Victorian Diamond Ring with one Old Mine Cut Diamond and two vivid, Natural Blue Sapphires. This ring has been appraised by an independent third party for $2,450. The independent appraiser is a GIA graduate andGraduate Gemologist Appraiser. According to the written appraisal, which the buyer will get a copy of, the center diamond is 0.55 carat (5.01 mm, 3.42mm) and the sapphires are 0.28 carat (4.54mm by 2.22mm) and 0.30 carat (4.49mm by 2.41mm). The center diamond appraised as a SI2 with J-K color. When we found this ring, it originally had emerald doublets where the sapphires are now. Emerald doublets are thin slices of emerald, glued onto glass, to simulate natural emeralds. Although emerald doublets are impressive, from a "they could do that over a hundred years ago?" perspective, natural gemstones are much nicer. Which is why we decided to replace the emerald doublets with natural blue sapphires. The sapphires are from Sri Lanka and are heat treated. There are some light scratches on the face of the ring, which happens to jewelry over a hundred years old. This antique ring has exudes class and has wonderful color. For your enjoyment, all purchases ship gift wrapped. We offer layaway with no fees and no interest. Interested in a particular item, but need some time to pay, email us and we'll set up a payment plan for you. Ring Size: US 4 1/2, British I1/2, French 48, Japanese 8. This ring can be resized. 1916 Berlin Iron Long Guard Necklace - Eiserne Zeit 1916

This antique 1916, Berlin Iron Long Guard, with the caption, "In Eisernerzeit 1916" (In the Iron Time 1916), is an original from WW1. This long guard is roughly 62 and 3/4 inch long. These were worn as necklaces that wrapped several times around. The clasp at the end can be used to hold a locket, a pocket watch, a chatelaine, or charm. In 3 years, we've only seen two of these. Berlin Iron is very collectible and is becoming exceedingly difficult to find. Berlin Iron jewelry was first created in the early 1800's when the Prussian royal family urged citizens to contribute their gold to fund the war against Napoleon. In return for their gold, citizens were given iron jewelry, usually inscribed with Gold gab ich für Eisen (I gave gold for iron), or Für das Wohl des Vaterlands (For the welfare of our country / fatherland). Wearing the black, intricately designed Berlin Iron became a symbol of patriotism and wearing gold became passé and inappropriate. The giving of iron jewelry, in exchange for gold, to fund a war effort was tried again in the First World War. We've cleaned this long guard using a polishing cloth and noted one round link that is permanently connected to a neighboring round link. It is not obvious and you have to go looking for it to find it. The rest of the links move freely. For your enjoyment, all purchases ship gift wrapped. We offer layaway with no fees and interest. 1889 Chester England 9K Rose Gold Wedding Band

This antique Wedding Band is fully hallmarked for 9K Rose Gold, Chester, and Jan 1889 - May 1890. This makes this ring 125 years old. For reference, things that happened in 1889: Coca Cola was incorporated North and South Dakota, Montana, and Washington were admitted to the union The Wall Street Journal runs it's first edition and the Moulin Rogue opens in Paris. There are a few scuffs and marks on the band. The photographs are showing them a little more severe than your eye actually sees. We take all pictures at very high resolution. One side of the band is 4.20 mm wide and the other side is 4.57 mm. We believe the smaller side was meant to be worn to the back. The band is marked with the following: "F.W". This would be the makers mark. This is likely Florence Warden, whose stamp was F.W in an oval; registered in Chester in 1895. This stamp is however in a rectangle, but the lettering is the same. a "9", ".375", for 9K gold, the city mark for Chester England, and uppercase, stylized "F", the date code for January 1, 1889 to May 1890. The Chester Assay office closed in 1962, but the list of date codes are available online. For your enjoyment, all purchases ship gift wrapped. We offer layaway with no fees and no interest. Estate Diamond Ring: White Gold Elegance

This estate ring features a detailed 13K White Gold dome, that draws the eye to a 0.15 carat Brilliant Cut Diamond (just under 1/6th carat).
