1953 All-Star Team Autographed Baseball With Mantle (Mantle's...
Though having been voted an All-Star in 1952, HOFer Mickey Mantle did not play in that rain-shortened game. The next year, 1953, Mantle was the starting center fielder for the American Leaguers, a position he would occupy for six consecutive years and the next 10 of 11 All-Star Games. Spalding ONL (Giles) baseball signed in blue ballpoint by 20 members of the 1953 American League All-Star team. Signatures include HOFers Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, Lou Boudreau, Nellie Fox and George Kell, Al Rosen, Johnny Sain, Mickey Vernon, Eddie Robinson, Billy Goodman, Gus Zernial, Chico Carrasquel, Harvey Kuenn, Billy Hunter, Hank Bauer, Ferris Fain and three others. This significant ball bears the first true Mantle All-Star signature and will complement any Mantle collection. Ball is nicely toned with signatures that grade an 8. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
