Wow! Say it again. Wow! We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally offer the FIRST CGC graded example of this rare original Grateful Dead handbill in our auction. And what a beauty it is! It is a promotional packet for the Dead’s first studio album with Warner Brothers designed by the late great Rick Griffin in 1967. Using the photo taken by Gene Anthony and then reversing the negatives, Griffin supervised the printing of these now extremely hard-to-find handbills on two variants of colored paper, yellow and green.
