Mies Pavilion Model

A "do it yourself" model made with birch plywood and methacrylate, easy to assemble. Ideal for architecture lovers and Mies van der Rohe admirers. The Barcelona Pavilion was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and life partner Lilly Reich as the German National Pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. It is an emblematic work of the Modern Movement, built of glass, steel and different kinds of marble, and has been exhaustively studied and interpreted as well as having inspired the works of several generations of architects. However, the building hasn't always been there. In 1930, following the end of the International Exhibit, the pavilion was entirely removed from its spot by the Palau Sant Jordi. It wasn't until 1983 when, after decades of requests for the pavilion to be rebuilt, works to raise it again began in its original 1929 placement. On June 2nd 1986, Barcelona awoke to see the building finished with same materials used for its construction, respecting as much as possible the original outlay thought by Mies van der Rohe. Our Mies Barcelona Pavilion is composed by birch plywood and methacrylate. Steel has been used for the building's tiny columns. The model comes unmounted, and it is the user's task to build it piece per piece following the instructions inside. The Pavilion is an iconic building of Barcelona and 20th-century architecture. Designed in Barcelona by Roviras Castelao Arquitectura together with Beamalevich, and created piece by piece by local workshops.Read more

White Spatial Construction

A white handpainted version of Gustav Klutsis' structural design, taken, interpreted and raised by Beamalevich. If Tatlin had his Monument to the Third International design turned into a real-life sculpture, we made sure the same would be done with Gustav Klutsis' Spatial Constructions plans. An art teacher and soviet propaganda pioneer himself, Klutsis' experimentation on the field of architecture never built up beyond paper - until now. This moving sculpture created from his most interpretable design of what a Spatial Construction was is part of a collection of a total four structures. This one being the next bigger size after our regular production one, it has been entirely made of recycled wood by Barcelona local woodcrafters, manually glue-free assembled piece by piece. Made under supervision of Beamalevich - a Barcelona-based art editor and curator specialized in Malevich and European avant-garde artists -, this Spatial Construction becomes the only physical rendition to Gustav Klutsis' avant-garde architectural mentality and building/construction vision. His ideas, visibly, seem to match all eras gone by since their birth. The inner structures of the sculpture are movable and even removable, allowing endless possibilites of arrangement as a form of respecting the artist’s echoing plasticity even on the squarest of the forms. Piece 1/4 of Beamalevich's Spatial Constructions collectible collection. Slightly bigger than our regular production model (same size as our "Medium" sized one) and painted in broken white, which gives it the extra weight and different finish as well as a new visual concept.Read more

30 cm Ceramic Sportsman figure model 3

Representation in ceramic of one of the starring figures in Kazimir Malevich's 1931 painting, Sportsmen. The original work here referenced is a perfectly Suprematist portrait of four harlequinesque figures representing men in sporty outfits. One of Malevich's late period works, each figure was handmade in ceramic so no color or representation is lost, and all of them are individually available on our website. Every statue —even from the same model— is unique, created and designed ad-hoc with the creative flair of the artist. They are all crafted in Italy and handpainted by the master ceramicist Stefano Puzzo; thus, there are no two identical pieces in any of the collections. Ceramiche Puzzo is a historical family-run laboratory of ceramics, founded in 1976. It represents today a reference point for artists and designers, who are followed and supported during the realization of their works. The figure is perfect for art collectors who have enough space for a more prominent size representation of this painting's figures. Affordable as well as brilliantly made, few items have the vivacity and presence of these shiny ceramic statues, due to their color plasticity and modernity, but also to the straight lines with which they shape the human silhouette, just as in the original painting. Although round in shape, the base of the figure is flat, allowing the statue to stand as an exempt figure. Piece 3/4 of the Sportsmen collection. More models available in our site.Read more
