Provenance: Sold Sotheby's Fine 18th & 19th century drawings and paintings, Lot 155, Bond St. 10th March 1963, described as John Crome painted circa 1812. Sold with original sale catalogue and accompanied by a letter from Sotheby's dated 17th November 1966 to Ivor Weiss, stating 'Lot 155 in our sale on 10th March 1965 fetched 600.
