Established in 1978, Fraser’s Autographs is one of the world's largest autograph dealers. Located in the heart of London's Mayfair at Bloomsbury House, they share an office with the UK's fourth largest auction house, Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions. In sharing this space they have access to an unrivalled breath of market leading knowledge. Fraser’s Autographs, a division of the Stanley Gibbons Group plc, has been the home of autograph collecting for over 30 years and is a globally recognised name and a brand synonymous with quality and expertise. ROGERS, SAMUEL Autograph Letter Signed - (ALS) A small handwritten letter from the poet Samuel Rogers apologising to a Mrs Bates for not being able to make it to a meeting with her. Signed in black ink at the close. Rogers was, during his lifetime (1763-1855), a celebrated poet, although his fame has long since been eclipsed by his Romantic colleagues and friends Wordsworth, Coleridge and Byron. Rogers's recollections of these and other friends such as Charles James Fox are key sources for information about London artistic and literary life, with which he was intimate, and which he used his wealth to support. STROHEIM, ERIC VON Document Signed - (DS) A single page contract on MGM headed paper dated September 25, 1936. Stroheim agrees to sell to MGM his story entitled 'Benefits Forgot', which was made into the 1938 film 'Of Human Hearts' (the new title was chosen through a radio contest, won by a high school student).
