Witherell's Antiques

Witherell's is a family owned antiques dealer founded in 2006. They have offices in Sacramento, California and Salt Lake City, Utah. Their industry experience extends far back in time and has passed from father to son, Brad Witherell to Brian Witherell, who now runs the business Witherell's Antiques.

Witherell's Antiques specializes in, among other things, American weapons, furniture and local arts and crafts, mainly from the western United States. The business has one of the region's premier rumors in their field. They are a part of IGavelAuctions and thus has a lot of online auctions. But they also offer their customers private sales.

Both Brad and Brian Witherell, with their many years of experience, are frequent guests in the PBS series Antiques Roadshow, as appraisers.

Case Playboy Express Wooden Toy

The Cass Playboy Express is a large wooden toy likely dating from the 1950s or earlier. The horse drawn cart has three separate parts - the first two horses, the second two horses, and the cart with the little boy - which are easily linked together by wooden pegs. The toy is painted blue, red and white with the details done in black. The cart includes two boxes: one with two stuffed canvas sacks and the other with two red wood barrels. On the back of the cart there is a little fold out ladder or ramp. The toy also has some small metal hardware and little metal chains which were meant to act as reins for the horses pulling the cart. Dimensions: 10" tall x 37" long (linked together) x 8" wide. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $62.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
