1843 Threlkeld Aborigines
The Report of The Meeting for Sufferings Respecting the Aborigines, Presented to the Yearly Meeting, 1841. Second edition. London March 1843. (Aborigines here means Aboriginal people of all the countries invaded by the british). The last page of this 12 page pamphlet reports that Launcelot Threlkeld of the Lake Macquarie region has given particulars of certain murders that have been committed and talked about the Government gazetting the disallowance of the the ability of the Aborigines to be allowed to give evidence in a court of law. There had been some Aboriginal people murdered and the only witnesses were Aboriginal people who were then banned by the Government from giving evidence. This is justice as administered by the early european invaders. Refer Ferguson2414 Sydney Rare Book Auctions
