A complete run in 50 issues of the Italian Communist and avant-garde journal which served as the official organ of the organization of the same name (full name: Organizzazione marxista-leninista Avanguardia comunista), born out of the unification of the groups Il Comunista and Il Comitato Comunisti Romani Marxisti-Leninisti, each issue approx. 8-16 pp., under the editorial direction of Augusto Illuminati, leader of "Viva il Comunismo", and with editorial assistance from other noted intellectuals and university professors of the time, including Franco Volpi and Antonio Melis, containing essays and editorial pieces on politics, Communism, Fascism, strikes, education, and related topics within Italy and abroad. Publication of Avanguardia Comunista ended in 1976, when the titular organization merged with the Movimento Lavoratori per il Socialismo (MLS). The final issue was printed in accordance with the 3 Congresso Nazionale di Avanguardia Comunista, which sanctioned the merger of the two groups.
