George VI (1936-52), gold Proof Five Pounds, 1937, bare head left, initials HP below neck for Humphrey Paget, GEORGIVS VI D:G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP: rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue, edge plain (L&S 1; WR 435; S.4074). A few light hairlines, nick under chin in field, some tone spots on reverse, otherwise as struck, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as PF62, becoming rare in the UK market.
