Late Deco Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1940s

About the object

This unique ring features a rub over set emerald in the middle weighing 0.85 carat. It is a lovely green colour and is surrounded by a halo of old cut diamonds. The diamonds have a combined weigh 0.68 carat and are estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. They are old cut diamonds are also rub over set and the entire ring has been made in 18 carat white gold. White GoldGold that is silver in colour. The colour is created from yellow gold being alloyed with another silver coloured metal such as palladium or rhodium.
