MADONNA OF SVATÁ HORA

Bohemia, probably Zalány, 19th century Folk variation of the statue of the Virgin Mary of Příbram on a low triangular plinth. The Madonna holds Jesus on her left arm, supporting him with her right hand under his neck. Both figures are crowned. High relief designed for frontal view, the back side is flat and undecorated. Wood, polychrome, gilding, h. 41,5 cm. Condition B.
