Overbeck Pottery was founded by four sisters in Cambridge City, Indiana in 1911. The four sisters each were involved in the production of the pottery at various times, ending with the death of Mary Overbeck in 1955. Throughout their production, Overbeck Pottery epitomized the arts and crafts movement. Each unique piece was laboriously designed and planned, and then hand-crafted as a singular work of ceramic artwork. Here we have an outstanding example of a 3 3/4 inch tall Overbeck tumbler or pencil vase. This piece screams arts and crafts. This is hand-tooled and signed F for Mary Francis. Outstanding decorative piece that displays exceptionally well. Overbeck Pottery does not come to market very often. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best arts and crafts potters at the time. Exceptional piece in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches, no repairs, no restoration. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. All images are original and un-edited. Authentic Overbeck Pottery. Measurements: Height: 3 3/4", Base: 2 1/8", Opening : 2 7/8"
