The Cobblestones of Italy by Karen Hansen Painting 8.8 x 33.0 :: I recently spent time in a tiny 14th century town in Italy where the streets were paved in cobblestone. The ancient and colorful stones had been beautifully polished over the centuries by the countless footsteps that had worn them smooth. This piece was inspired by the playful patterns I saw in those streets. Painted in acrylic on canvas the painting was then mounted on a wood panel that has been constructed with a 2"" cradle. The sides of the piece are painted in the same pale grayed lavender that is seen on the lower portion of the painting. The piece is varnished and wired and ready to be hung without framing for a contemporary presentation. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Abstract Subject: Abstract Tags: lavender softcolors pastelcolor italy Width: 8.8 Height: 33.0 Depth: 2 Weight: 5 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
