Anish Kapoor (1954-) India/Great Britain

Anish Kapoor is a British sculptor of Indian heritage. He studied at Hornsey College of Art in the UK. Kapoor is most famous for his organic meandering shapes in vibrant colors.
Kapoor represented the UK at the Venice Biennale in 1990 and in 1991 he received the Turner prize. Today his work can be found at a number of museums around the world, including Moderna Museet in Sweden, the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He was knighted by the British Queen in 2013.
