Eero Saarinen (1910–1961)

Eero Saarinen was an industrial designer and architect famous for his neofuturistic style. His design was known for its simple, sweeping and arching curves with a machine like rational visual appearance. Some of his ground breaking products are the ”Tulip Chair” for Knoll, the ”Grasshopper” and ”Womb” lounge chair and ottoman and the ”Pedestal” armchair. His architectural legacy spans from the ”Gateway Arch” in St Louis to the ”Crow Island School” in Illinois.
