Charles Sheeler (1883-1965) USA

Charles Sheeler was an american painter and photographer born in 1883, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was inspired by Picasso and Braque and is considered to be one of the founders of the american modernist art movement. As a precisionist Sheeler developed a style close to the cubist-realist style. With a linear precision he depicted architectural structures, industrial buildings and machines.
Sheeler studied at Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art (University of the Arts, Pennsylvania) and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.
