Looking to start the new year as a shiny new you? Notting Hill auction house Elmwood’s is here to help you get your sparkle on.

Elmwood’s has over 500 pieces up for grabs in their forthcoming ‘Loose Diamonds & Gemstones’ auction, to be held on 16 January. The pieces range in price, style and function, which means whether you’re after an exquisite engagement ring, vintage earrings or an affordable necklace, at Elmwood’s you’re bound to find something you’re looking for.

It is exceptionally rare to find a set of pearls in the numbers found in this natural saltwater pearl, ruby, sapphire, emerald and diamond Raymond Yard necklace from c. 1930.

The necklace comprises three rows of 303 pearls, ranging from 3.9 mm to 9.6 mm. It comes with a jewelled, art deco tutti frutti clasp of oval form, set with carved rubies, sapphires and emeralds, punctuated by diamonds.

Although there’s a twinkle of emerald in the pearl necklace, these emerald and diamond earrings are in a totally different league of colour.

The earrings are 18ct white gold, each set with a pear-cut emerald of 4.89 carats and 4.13 carats, suspended below diamond jewelled mounts set with principal old cut stones of approx. 0.70 carats each.

If you’re looking to start the new year with a new relationship status, it might help to seal the deal with this 4.05 carat solitaire diamond engagement ring in platinum.

The stunning engagement ring is est. I-J colour, VVS-VS1 clarity, marked 950, size O / 7, and 5.2 g in weight.

Another diamond ring, albeit slightly different in style, is this diamond band ring by Chanel in 18ct white gold. The ring is designed as a trio of overlapping bands, signed Chanel in round-cut diamonds, and stamped 750. It is size N / 6.75 and 12g in weight.

Finally, this diamond and ruby ring is in 18ct white gold, the central round-cut diamond of approx. 0.50 carats is bordered by eight round-cut rubies and floral motifs, stamped. It is size P / 7.5 and 4.9 g in weight.
