Goodwin's photographs capture the icons of the 1960s and 1970s, his repertoire includes The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong, The Bee Gees, Elton John, Cher, Dolly Parton and Shirley Bassey. Photographs of all of these will be available in the sale, which is expected to bring in £20 000 for The Christie.

Goodwin's candid and intimate portraits of The Beatles, as a group and individually, as well as images of Lennon with Yoko Ono and McCartney with wife Linda, are set to be the most highly anticipated in the sale.

Original prints in sale are inscribed with personal messages from the sitters, which not only makes the pieces highly collectable, but also highlights how adored Goodwin was.

Harry's Hasselblad and two Mamiya cameras will also be sold alongside the prints. As Harry never sold his prints, this will be this first time they will have been purchased, and in some cases seen, whilst some pieces in the sale have become icons in their own right as they have been on show at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool and The Lowry, Manchester.

The sale will take place on 30th October. Check out the catalogue here.
