The contents of the sale come from the 54-room Georgian mansion which boasts 400 aces of land. It was recently sold to developed Luke Comer for a cool £7.4 million.

Interestingly, the contents of the sale will not reflect the exterior of the stately home. Instead pieces predominately from the 1960s will be auctioned off.

A piece in the sale which may well have been part of the original decor is a mahogany dining table, c.1820 estimated at £18 000-25 000. The piece is attributed to celebrated 19th-century Dublin craftsman Gillingtons.Screen Shot 2015-04-16 at 16.58.19

A pair of George III mahogany dining room pedestals estimated at £11 000-14 000 is the only other lot which dates back to the former homeowners.266

The sale includes a number of fascinating lots, including a telephone box, and art which Adam's describes as ''numerous examples of 1970's and early 1980's avant-garde Irish art" by artists that "have really been largely forgotten."
