Art Cologne, founded in 1967, is the world's oldest art fair. The fair presents Modern and post-war works, established contemporary art and up-and-coming artists.

First day sales included a sculpture by Anthony Gormley selling for €350 000 and a stainless steel wall piece by Richard Deacon, entitled Alphabet A, 2009 which sold for €110 000.

The priciest piece at the fair was Warhol's Mona Lisa Four Times, 1979, which was purchased from Cologne's Klaus Benden for $4.4 million.
