In an interview with Annie Mac for BBC Radio 1, the rapper announced: "I have to work with Ikea - make furniture for interior design, for architecture."

He stated that his imagined furniture designs would appeal to students who desire "a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm.''

He went on to say:  "Yo Ikea, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes."

Kanye is determined for the West empire to be affordable for all, hence the idea of joining forces with the budget furniture brand.

According to West's Twitter, he does fancy himself as a bit of an interior design aficionado...

West was photographed in March leaving Ikea HQ in Almhult, south Sweden. Ikea Australia has designed a mock-up of the Kanye x IKEA collaboration which was posted on its Facebook page today. The post read: ''Hej Kanye, we’d love to see what you’d create… we could make you Famous!''
