The sale will feature Dutch artist Jan Schoonhoven and Dutch designer Gerrit Rietveld as well as works by Roy Lichtenstein, Anselm Kiefer, Alexander Calder and design by Charles and Ray Eames.

Art Europe explain how this sale appeals to both budding collectors as well as the more experienced art connoisseurs with prices ranging from a few thousand to £700 000.

In 1972, Roy Lichtenstein began his Still Life series of paintings, reviving classical painting motifs with his Pop focus. This piece on sale at Art Europe, from 1983, is part of the artist's part of his ‘Seven Apple Woodcuts’ series. A version is currently on view at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. It comes as no surprise that the Dutch auction house have this work by Schoonhoven in the sale. Jan Schoonhoven is regarded as one of the most important Dutch artists of the late twentieth century, praised for his work on light, form and volume through sculptural wall reliefs and works on paper. Gerrit Rietveld, Two Zig-Zag Chairs

And to another Dutch giant, furniture designer and architect Gerrit Rietveld. Rietveld was one of the most important chair designers of the 20th century, he produced the Zig-Zag chair from 1932-34. Check out realised prices for Rietveld here.
