The results of the sale highlight that top quality Russian works continue to be in high demand and the market is on the rise. The success of the Soviet era segment of the sale proves that a new trend has been sparked in the Russian art market.

Highlights of the sale included a Deineka work which sold for £2 248 200, a Maximov for £251 000, Terpsikhorov for 111 000 and a Labas for £99 750.

The first UK Solo exhibition of works by Boris Grebenshikov will be at MacDougall's from 21st October - 6th November, 2015.
