With the recent record-breaking sales of Lucio Fontana and prices for Post-War Italian artists such as Alighiero Boetti and Alberto Burri continuing to rise, this April, following the success of last year's “Milan Modern and Contemporary,” Christie's will hold another 20th Century Italian art sale.

The sale, which will take place at Palazzo Clerici, will include works by the aforementioned as well as Enrico CastellaniPier Paolo CalzolariGiulio PaoliniPiero ManzoniGino SeveriniGiacomo BallaMimmo Rotella and Tano Festa.

Alighiero Boetti’s Mappe, 1983, is estimated to fetch between £627 425-£941 140 (€800 000–€1 200 000.) It comes as no surprise that Fontana's Concetto spaziale, Attese, 1966 is estimated to sell for £470 570-£705 855 (€600 000-900 000.)

Burri's Combustione, 1964, could also reach the half a million mark as it carries and estimate of £313 710-£470 570 (€400 000-600 000) as could Severini’s Tango Argentino, 1913, which has an estimate of £313 710-£549 000 (€400 000-700 000.)
