The collection of around 30 early coins, has been valued at between £4 000 and £6 000. One of the highlights of the collection is a lot of 13 Arab - Sasanian silver drachm coins, from the Sasanian empire (224-651.) Each coin has been estimated to sell for between £100 to £200.

Persian coins such as these, are regarded by historians as one of the most important primary sources for monetary and economic history, as well as important historical and art history sources. Royal portraits on the coins acts as evidence used to identify depictions of kings on other forms of Sasanian art, such as silverware, and rock and stucco reliefs.

12 silver Islamic Ottoman empire coins, which have kufic script on the front and back, are also set to catch the eye of keen collectors.
