Collecting isn’t only for serious folks, contemplating their latest painting sitting by the fireplace. It’s also a fun business! Ewbank’s Entertainment and Memorabilia auction on 31 May and 1st June features a whole range of exciting objects for film enthusiasts and fearless collectors.

Many lots are guaranteed to enthral the audience, and the crowd will certainly go wild for a rare pair of Nike Air Mag trainers, the type worn by Michael J. Fox in the iconic film. These limited edition sneakers feature light-up panels and functioning power laces – definitely too cool for school. But with a pre-sale guide price of between £18,000 and £28,000, will the lucky bidder ever wear them?

The Star Wars franchise is always popular among buyers at Ewbank’s entertainment sales, and this edition will not disappoint. An Ewok head, assembled from original production items from Star Wars Return Of The Jedi, has been valued at between £6,000 and £9,000. Cute or scary? You decide. Another option is a limited edition Darth Vader statue, made by Michael Burnett Studios in the 1990s, which carries an estimate of between £2,000 and £4,000.

The second day, 1st June, focuses on vintage posters. Worth mentioning are a rare poster advertising the 1979 film Performance, starring Mick Jagger, with artwork by Vic Fair, which has a pre-sale estimate of between £500 and £800; and a vintage London Transport poster, “Staggered Travelling Saves Busy Workers’ Time” that has been valued at between £250 and £250.

We forgot to mention the full-size Tardis starting at £8,000! But all you Doctor Who fans are already coveting it…
