Michael Craig-Martin RA curated the exhibition this year. Craig-Martin mentored such talented artists as Sarah Lucas and Damien Hirst. The walls of the exhibition have been plastered in bright pinks and blues, reflecting the use of Pop Art colours in Craig-Martin's work.

In the courtyard of the Royal Academy is Conrad Shawcross' The Dappled Light of the Sun, 2015 a steel sculpture of colossal proportions.

Once inside, the central staircase to the Academy has been jazzed-up by Jim Lambie with vividly coloured vinyl. Watch the video here to see how Jim Lambie covered the staircase in such an intricate pattern.

As well as emerging talents such as Shawcross, the exhibition paid homage to the RA's seasoned talents such as Grayson Perry and Antony Gormley.
