And if you want to get the look yourself (or need a hint for your loved one...) we've paired each iconic look with an exquisite piece from Kavador.

Grace Kelly

In 1955, after an encounter at the glamorous Cannes Film Festival, Prince Rainier III of Monaco wasted no time in putting a ring on it and proposed to Kelly in her hometown of Philadelphia.

The Prince made Grace Kelly his princess with a 10.47 carat emerald-cut diamond flanked by two baguettes ring designed by Cartier. And the bling didn't stop there. On her wedding day, Kelly adorned herself with a Cartier platinum tiara set with baguette-cut diamonds and three ruby cabochons as well as a 58 carat diamond necklace.

We've selected a twist on Grace Kelly's classic engagement ring with this emerald cut citrine and diamond 18k white gold ring.

Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery box was as dramatic and flamboyant as her romance with Richard Burton. After meeting on the set of the epic Cleopatra, Burton asked Taylor to marry him with a platinum-set Bulgari pendant featuring an 18.61 carat emerald surrounded by diamonds.

But it was a gift he gave the star to celebrate five years of marriage that stunned the world. The Krupp asscher cut, that would later become  known as the Elizabeth Taylor diamond was an incredible 33.19 carats, and apparently she wore it nearly everyday.

This ring has the same drama as Taylor's jewellery collection was known for. This carved 37.99ct amethyst and diamond 18k rose gold ring features a diamond with a 1.82ct diamond.

Now to a 21st century diva, in 2008, Beyoncé became the best thing Jay Z ever had as the couple wed in secret. The rapper had proposed to Queen B with an 18 carat diamond by Lorraine Schwartz, which as the time was valued at more than $5 million. The ring features a two bands of diamonds on the setting.

To honor her daughter Blue Ivy, we've selected this 14.43ct emerald cut blue topaz with two ribbons of diamonds with pave diamond half shank in 14k white gold, the unique setting inspired by Beyoncé's ring.

Kate Middleton

Now to another famous blue, Kate Middleton's 12-carat oval blue sapphire, cut into facets, and surrounded by fourteen solitaire diamonds in an 18k white gold setting. The ring, which was created by Garrard & Co., the former Crown Jeweller, holds a beautiful story behind it. Following the tragic passing of their mother, William and Harry were allowed to select pieces from their mother's jewellery collection. Harry selected the sapphire ring, whilst William chose a gold Cartier watch. It was reported that when William decided to propose to Kate, he asked his brother if they could swap their pieces.

In homage to Kate's love of pearls, we've selected this 14k yellow gold, diamond, Mother of Pearl, and 23.03ct lapis lazuli ring.

Blake Lively

Of course budding fashionistas around the globe soon began asking for the 'Blake Lively' engagement ring after the style icon married fellow actor Ryan Reynolds in 2015. Lively said yes to the rose gold ring with a 12-carat oval cut flanked by tiny stones, another piece designed by Lorraine Schwartz.

We love Blake's rose gold choice, just like this 11.80ct cushion shape amethyst and 18k rose gold ring with diamond encrusted prongs.
