Chopard, one of the last family-owned watch and jewellery houses in Switzerland, is known for its innovative ways of inspiring young collectors, new to the jewellery market.

Co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele, who runs the company with her brother, Karl Freidrich, explained with the jewellery house decided to collaborate with the Bajan star."I think she represents the younger generation," says Scheufele. "And maybe they think Chopard is only for important pieces and they’re not aware that we also have these fun pieces. It opens up the brand much wider."

Rihanna's maverick fashion sense and her rule-breaking style is exactly what Chopard, and her 55 million Instagram followers, adore about the singer. The collection designed with Rihanna perfectly reflects her aesthetic. An ankle bracelet, an unusual addition to a high jewellery collections, inspired by peacock feathers, makes up part of the collection. Another piece is a necklace inspired by Rihanna's native Barbados, which evokes the colours of the carnival strung like bunting into a collar.

Chopard's Happy Diamonds collection also reflects the playfulness and ingenuity of Chopard's designs. Pieces in the popular collection feature diamonds dancing and floating across a watch face or inside a necklace pendant in a way Chopard describe as ''adorning everyday life with audacious hints of sparkle.''
