Piasa of Paris will be holding a sale of 'Protest Art' which features art from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The sale will be held on 28th October in order to run simultaneously with he Fiac contemporary art fair.

The artworks in the sale all have themes of challenging political positions in art and culture and such movements as Letterism, punk, Fluxus and the Nouveaux Realistes will be represented.

Artists including Ettore Sottsass, Joseph Beuys, Robert Mapplethorpe, Yoko Ono and Henri Cartier-Bresson are a few amongst others to be featured.

The sale represents Piasa new focus on Design and Modern and Contemporary art, under managing director Frédéric Chambre. CIn September Piasa moved to new premises on the Rue Fauborg St Honoré, formerly occupied by the gallerist Didier Aaron.
