The collection is thought to be worth an estimated €70 million and will now be returned to the Picasso family. Le Guennec claims he had ''completely forgot'' about the works which were in his garage for 40 years. Members of Picasso's family and art experts were adamant the artists would not have left such a vast collection to his former employee.

None of the artworks were signed by Picasso, which was unusual as Picasso would always sign pieces before he gave them to anyone.
