Milan Design week is a yearly design fair attracting some of the most prominent international designers in the world.

Stranger Pinks will take place in an impressive villa designed in the 1930s. Today it hosts the showroom of TED Milano. The exhibition will showcase an exquisite selection of handmade decorative and furniture pieces created especially for Stranger Pinks by some Artemest artisans and designers.

With the Stranger Pinks exhibition, Artemest gathers designers from all over Italy and offers visitors unique pieces deeply rooted in Italian design tradition. Each piece is handmade and mirrors the craftsmanship in that particular region. Combining interior design with art and jewellery Artemest wants to "... arouse and celebrate a desire for beauty in our everyday lives"

One of Barnebys' favorites in the Stranger Pinks collection is the Pink Palms Rug created by Ilaria Ferrano Toueg - CEO of TED Milano. Ilaria works in Tibetan wool, a very delicate and soft yet durable kind of wool. With its stylized plant pattern against the pink background the rug creates a great contrast between the modern and its origin.

Visitors can expect to find themselves surrounded by a fantastic, almost surreal pink world filled with warmth, charm and sophistication. Among the exhibitors you can find Studio Crestani, Giuseppe Rivadossi, Larghevedute, Meccani Design, Ilaria Toueg, Texurae, Francesco della Femina, Servomuto, Up Group, Officine Tamborrino, Alberto Donà, Paola Paronetto, Lilla Tabasso and many more.

Stranger Pinks is open to the public on the 17th - 22th of April.
