The perfectly-crafted Rolex watch has been telling us the time since 1905.

Founded by Alfred Davis and his brother-in-law Hans Wilsdorf, you might be surprised to know that the Swiss company was originally ‘Wilsdorf and Davis’ and that it first opened in London. However, by 1919 the company was based in Geneva, Switzerland and known as Rolex.

If you get in quick, you might be able to snag a Rolex through William George, a leading online auction house. This week, William George have a variety of items up for sale - including jewellery and handbags - however, we’ve got our eyes on their Rolex watches.

One that comes to mind in particular is a Rolex GMT-Master. Originally intended for pilots and navigators after their inception in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master now widely appeals to many more. Plenty have become infatuated with this particular model’s versatility and good looks.

The iconic Jubilee bracelet, with its blue and red bordered face, is a five-piece metal-link that was originally designed for the Rolex Datejust in 1945.

This particular GMT-Master Rolex from William George is a new, 2018 version - the same kind launched at this year’s Baselworld, a renowned and international watch and jewellery trade show.

Another popular Rolex up for sale is a Submariner. This model has a distinctive dial with glowing hourly markers, making it formal but elegant, easy on the eyes and appropriate for all genders.
