unused The celebrated sheet of twelve with complete sheet margins except around the right vertical row, comprising [1-2/5-6] attached to the sheet margins, a vertical strip of three [4-8-12] with complete marginal inscriptions dated Dec. 1854, and fine singles showing varying degrees of the wavy blue lines and rosettes. The component parts have been rejoined with hinges leaving varying degrees of staining in places, the usual horizontal pre-printing paper fold appears as usual. Without any doubt the most important item of Indian philately in private hands and a formidable Exhibition item in a remarkable state of preservation. B.P.A. Certificate No. 38,268 (1992).
