0,5 Gramm - Gold .999 - 2025 Prehistoric Life II...

0.5 Gram Prehistoric Life II Velociraptor mongoliensis 2025 Gold Coin The sixth issue of the Prehistoric Life II series from the Congo is dedicated to the Velociraptor. The design of the 0.5-gram, 99.99% pure gold coin shows a Velociraptor pursuing a small prey animal, as well as another Velociraptor in the background in front of a prehistoric mountain range. Above the scene are the inscriptions "PREHISTORIC LIFE", "VELOCIRAPTOR MONGOLIENSIS", "75 - 71 MIO YEARS BC" and the issue year 2025. On the reverse side are the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as weight, fineness and face value. The Velociraptor was a small, bipedal carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous in what is today Mongolia. It belonged to the group of dromaeosaurids and was about two meters long, with a distinctive, sickle-shaped claw on its feet, which presumably served to grasp and injure prey. Fossil finds show that it possessed feathers, which closely connects it with the ancestors of today's birds. The coin is issued without a certificate; with our invoice we guarantee the authenticity of the coin.
