0,5 Gramm - Gold .999 - 2025 Prehistoric Life II...

0.5 gram Prehistoric Life II Velociraptor mongoliensis 2025 Gold Coin The sixth issue of the Prehistoric Life II series from the Congo is devoted to the Velociraptor. The coin, weighing 0.5 grams of 99.99% pure gold, shows a Velociraptor in pursuit of a small prey animal with another Velociraptor in the background in front of an ancient mountain range. Above the scene are the inscriptions "PREHISTORIC LIFE", "VELOCIRAPTOR MONGOLIENSIS", "75 - 71 MIO YEARS BC" and the issue year 2025. On the reverse are the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as the weight, fineness and face value. The Velociraptor was a small, bipedal carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous in present-day Mongolia. It belonged to the group of dromaeosaurids and was about two meters long, with a distinctive curved claw on the feet that was presumably used to grasp and injure prey. Fossil finds show that it had feathers, which makes it closely related to the ancestors of modern birds. The coin is delivered without a certificate; with our invoice we guarantee the authenticity of the coin.
