A collection of ten vintage postcards featuring ocean liners of the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique, also known as the French Line, dating from the early 20th century. The group includes color lithographs and black and white printed examples. Featured vessels include La Provence, SS Gouverneur-General Jonart, Mexique, La Lorraine, Cuba, Lafayette, France, and La Touraine. Two color lithographs bear printed artist signatures, one reading FRED PANSING and another reading L. Louis-Lessieux. The grouping features exterior views of ships at sea and in port at Le Havre and Saint-Nazaire, as well as two interior views titled Salon de Conversation and La Lorraine - Le Salon. One card is postally used with an affixed red Republic Francaise 10c La Semeuse postage stamp and a postmark dated 1909. Dimensions: 6"W x 4"H Provenance: Museum of Miami Collection, known for its extensive archives, manuscripts, and visual materials documenting the region's history.
