1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-13, Zelinka 14-M, W-13960. Rarity-4.

1760 Voce Populi Halfpenny. Nelson-13, Zelinka 14-M, W-13960. Rarity-4. P Below Bust. EF-45 (PCGS). Universally bold to sharp definition on a finely porous planchet, microscopic pitting is more prevalent on the reverse, but does not distract on either side as the coin is admired in-hand. Centering is good for the type, the bottom of the all-important P off the flan, but the letter is plainly evident with the diagnostic (for the Nelson-13 obverse) doubling at the top clear. Medium walnut and olive-brown patina and a lack of distracting marks round out an impressive list of physical attributes for this handsome Choice EF Voce Populi halfpenny. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 268. NGC ID: 2AUF. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
