1795 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent. Fuld-1, W-8620. Rarity-1. Lettered Edge: WE PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER ONE CENT. MS-65 BN (NGC). The first of a pair of stunning Gem Mint State Talbot, Allum, and Lee cents in the Winslet Collection. Abundant mint red surrounds all devices and peripheries, while unbroken lustrous cartwheel spins over both sides. The fields have mellowed to brown, but this piece retains spectacular originality and a very strong degree of mint red. A few little marks are seen in the upper right obverse field, some trivial specking including a spot under T of THE on the reverse.
