18.80-Carat Opal Oval Cabochon Loose Gemstone

ESTIMATED RETAIL PRICE: $1,400* *This is the estimated value a piece of similar quality, craftsmanship, and characteristics could command at retail. An 18.80-carat loose oval opal cabochon showing spectacular, high-contrast play-of-color across its domed surface — vivid broad flashes of electric green, gold and red. Broad-flash patterns are the most sought-after configuration in opal, well above the pinfire patterns that dominate commercial material. Offered unmounted so a designer can build to the stone's specific fire.
