1803 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-255, B-6. Rarity-1. Large 3. VF-25

1803 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-255, B-6. Rarity-1. Large 3. VF-25 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. BB Die State I. Richly original surfaces are toned in deep mauve-gray and charcoal-olive with underlying antique gold and cobalt blue. A couple of shallow scuffs at the top of Liberty's head are mildly distracting in certain viewing situations, but this is an undeniably original, wholesome, and uncommonly attractive coin in a mid-graded early dollar. It will surely sell for a nice premium to a discerning numismatist. The Generation 3.1 PCGS holder uses coin #6900, which is now reserved for the Small 3 Guide Book variety of the 1803 Draped Bust silver dollar. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 6901. NGC ID: 24XD. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
