1808 CAPPED DRAPED BUST - HEAD FACING LEFT — $5 GOLD

1808 CAPPED DRAPED BUST - HEAD FACING LEFT — $5 GOLD Scarce early-gold type showing bold remaining mint brilliance and strong detail in Liberty’s portrait, with well-defined curls and clean, original fields. The reverse eagle is sharply rendered, with crisp feathering and a confident strike typical of quality 1808 survivors. Light, even high-point friction gives the coin an attractive, honest look while preserving excellent eye appeal. A desirable example of this single-year Capped Bust Left design, always in demand among early-gold collectors. XF
