1853-DERI Octagonal $1. BG-518. Rarity-5. Liberty Head. MS-61 (PCGS).

1853-DERI Octagonal $1. BG-518. Rarity-5. Liberty Head. MS-61 (PCGS). Somewhat subdued honey-gold surfaces with a soft satin texture overall. A boldly executed strike enhances the appeal of this BU example. From maker M. Deriberpie, this variety shares its reverse with the firm's BG-517, although it seems to have been struck first despite the later BG number. Provenance: Ex Jack Totheroh Collection. PCGS# 10495. NGC ID: 2BLG. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
