1854-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1. AU-55 (NGC).

1854-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1. AU-55 (NGC). A handsome and inviting piece with subtle silvery highlights to dominant deep olive-orange gold color. Softness of strike in the centers is characteristic of the issue, the remaining areas generally sharp in the absence of significant wear. Faint hairlines are noted, but there are no sizeable marks to surfaces that are pleasingly smooth in hand. Traces of frosty luster persist, as well, to further enhance the appeal of this scarce half eagle from the Charlotte Mint series. PCGS# 8257. NGC ID: 25UH.
