1892 Jacksonville Tampa and Key West Railway Pass

Late 19th-century railroad annual pass for the Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West System, dated 1892. This complementary pass was issued to T. J. Moss, President of the Cape Girardeau Transportation Co., valid until December 31st, 1892. The card features elaborate Victorian typography and branding for Florida, The Tropical Trunk Line. The front includes the printed number C 1182 and a hand-signed ink signature by General Manager R. B. Cable. A small printed credit in the lower left corner reads RAND MCNALLY and CO. The reverse side lists the specific lines for which the pass is valid: Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West Railway; Florida Southern Railway; St. Johns and Lake Eustis Railway; Jupiter and Lake Worth Railway; and Indian River Steamboat Co. (Transportation Only). The reverse also contains a standard liability clause and conductor instructions.
