An antique Chippendale tiger maple slant-lid desk with an old and possibly original surface. A fitted interior with arched document slots, small turned-column-flanked drawers, and a lower prospect area behind brass pulls, above a slant lid fitted with a period brass escutcheon. Four long graduated drawers below, each fitted with period butterfly brass pulls and escutcheons, on a bracket base with shaped apron skirt. Brasses are period, though set in different holes. 42”H x 36.25”W x 18”D.
